Flu Vaccination 2011-12

The Influenza vaccine for the 2011-2012 flu season has now arrived at Sloane Medical Practice.  The flu vaccination is available to patients over 6 months of age on the advice of your GP.

The Department of Health recommends flu vaccination every year for everyone in the following groups:

• People aged 65 and over
• all those aged 6 months or older with the following conditions.
• - chest problems including asthmatics, chronic bronchitis or emphysema
• - chronic heart disease / diabetes
• - chronic kidney disease / chronic liver disease
• - chronic neurological disease
• People who are immunosuppressed
• pregnant women
• those in contact with people who may be at risk of developing serious complications from flu.

Sloane Medical Practice are able to offer the flu vaccination to any patient over the age of 6 months unless there are any contra-indications.

The price of the flu vaccine is £30
