Exciting Update: We Now Accept International Health Insurance 

 

 

We are pleased to announce that we now accept selected international health insurance plans, making it easier for patients to access private GP care.

 

If you have private medical insurance, you may be able to use your policy for eligible consultations and pathology services.

 

To make the process simple:

  1. Contact your insurance company to inform them of your upcoming appointment at Sloane Medical Practice and the reason for your visit.

  2. Obtain your membership number, authorisation code, and letter of guarantee.

(A letter of guarantee is a official document that promises a healthcare provider that the insurance company will pay for certain medical services. As providers we require this so we are able to process your payments swiftly)

  3. Provide these details to our admin team prior to or on arrival of your appointment.

  4. We will bill your insurance directly, so you won’t have to worry about handling payments yourself.

 

Please note:

  • Any shortfalls, or patients without the relevant insurance details, will need to pay and claim directly with their provider.

  • We currently accept Bupa International, Cigna International, AXA International, and GeoBlue for consultations and pathology services only.

 

Other services will need to be paid for upfront and claimed directly with your provider.

We’re excited to introduce our new 24-hour blood pressure in-house monitoring service.

 

Tracks your blood pressure throughout the day and night – giving you a complete picture of your heart health.

 

 

 

 

Why it matters:

  • Helps tailor your treatment more accurately

  • If you experience dizziness, faintness, or headaches, the monitor helps identify if these are linked to sudden drops or spikes in blood pressure

  • We are able to check effectiveness of medication -  Doctors use it to see if your blood pressure medication works properly over a full 24-hour period.

  • Allows us to make a clear diagnostic in house without you having to go elsewhere!

Refurbishment at Fordie House 👷🏼

 

Starting from Monday 2nd March 2026, 82 Fordie House will be undergoing refurbishment works, expected to continue for around six months.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

We apologies for any disruption this may cause during your visits and thank you for your understanding. The contractors will do their best to minimise noise and disturbance wherever possible.

 

 

Updated Payment Policy 💵

 

To streamline our operations, we will now be adopting a pay-on-the-day policy for all appointments.

 

This change helps us reduce administrative delays and allows our team to focus on what matters most – providing you with excellent care.

 

Payments can be made easily at reception via card, contactless, or mobile payment. Thank you for your understanding and support.
