Infection Prevention and Control
Sloane Medical Practice is committed to maintaining high standards of infection prevention and control to provide a safe and clean environment for our patients, visitors and staff.We take appropriate measures to minimise the risk of infection throughout the Practice, including within our consultation and clinical areas and during all clinical procedures.
Our premises, clinical equipment and facilities are maintained to appropriate standards, and we have procedures in place for the safe cleaning, decontamination and disposal of clinical materials and equipment.
Where appropriate, we use washable, easily cleanable or single-use materials within the Practice. This includes items such as examination couch rolls, clinical consumables, seating, flooring and other surfaces.
These are cleaned, replaced or disposed of at appropriate intervals to help minimise the risk of infection.
